WHAT IS THE USE OF FAMTREX 250 MG TABLETS ?

Famtrex is used for treating herpes zoster infection (shingles). It is also used to treat recurring herpes skin infections in patients who also have HIV infection. Famciclovir is also used to treat recurring cold sores and to treat or suppress recurring genital herpes.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE-EFFECTS OF FAMTREX 250 MG TABLETS ?

Headache, nausea, and diarrhea may occur.

Tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects, including: mental/mood changes (such as agitation, slowed thinking, confusion, hallucinations), dizziness, drowsiness, signs of kidney problems (such as change in the amount of urine), yellowing eyes/skin, easy bruising/bleeding.
