WHAT IS THE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION OF TRIOMUNE-30 TABLETS ?

Consult your doctor before using this drug if:

• you have known liver or kidney problems, pancreatitis

• you are anaemic

• you are taking any other medication

Pregnancy: Potential risk to the foetus has been reported. Consult your doctor before use.
Breastfeeding: HIV infection can be passed to your baby through breast milk.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY TRIOMUNE-30 TABLETS ?

Triomune-30 is a tablet composition of Stavudine 30mg, Lamivudine 150mg and Nevirapine 200mg. Lamivudine and Stavudine belongs to a class of medication called nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors. Lamivudine decreases the amount of virus (HIV and hepatitis) in the blood. Stavudine works by inhibiting multiplication of viruses thus decreasing their levels in the infected patient. Nevirapine belongs to a class of anti-HIV medicines called non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs).

WHAT IS THE USE OF TRIOMUNE-30 TABLETS ?

Triomune-30 tablet is a combination therapy for people with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE-EFFECTS OF TRIOMUNE-30 TABLETS ?

nausea/vomiting; diarrhoea; abdominal pain; loss of appetite; headache; dizziness; numbness, tingling, burning or pain in the hands or feet; blisters/mouth ulcers; tiredness; insomnia; muscle/joint pain; tremors;
